Island Boho Meets East Coast Edge

Chloé’s Fall 2025 runway left a lasting impression—from the billowy silhouettes to the moody, yet soft color palette, it was effortless fall dressing at its best. Chemena Kamali’s vision felt like a poetic blend of contrasts: soft pastels brushed up against deep, grounded hues, while boho silhouettes met edgy darker colors and cozy textures.

While I don’t naturally gravitate toward the boho aesthetic, something about this collection made me want to experiment. It reminded me of my sisters in Hawai‘i, who live the boho lifestyle not because it's trendy, but because it's woven into their everyday—through the culture, the weather, the easy-going rhythm of island life.  Living on the East Coast has made me fall in love with fall—there’s something so satisfying about the layers, the leather, the boots, and all the cozy, structured jackets.

Inspired, I played in my own closet. I mixed leather jackets, suede, feathers, and fur with pastel pieces I usually save for spring. I even found joy in pulling in cowboy and festival elements and styling them in new, unexpected ways. My looks aren’t replicas of the runway, but they’re my personal interpretation of Ms. Kamali’s aesthetic—where effortless meets intentional.

One detail that stuck with me: the way color was used to elongate the body. Some looks had a monochrome upper half and a starkly different bottom half—even the shoes followed suit. It allowed the garment (not the accessories) be the focus, making the silhouette feel long and fluid. It’s these kinds of thoughtful choices that turn inspiration into transformation.

My interpretation of Chloé’s Fall 2025 collection is a blend of both worlds—a mash-up of island boho ease with East Coast edge. Think soft pastels mixed with heavy textures, cowboy touches paired with sleek leather, and that signature Chloé flow made personal through my own closet experiment.
